★★☆☆☆
Does the job. You get what you pay for. (Updated review and reduced to two stars.)
You know this is an inexpensive assemble-it-yourself rack. That is why you are looking at it. Knowing that . . . read on.
Here are the pros and cons I found during assembly. I'm giving it four stars because of a cracked part and some assembly details that could have been better.
Would I recommend it to a friend? If they want a rack that will do the job even though it doesn't look perfect, I would.
Pros:
> All of the parts were there.
> The assembly instructions were clear. (The instructions were illustrations of the parts going together.)
> The parts were well labeled and easy to identify.
> It went together and will work.
Cons:
> Crack in one part. Not large. It won't show. The product will work.
> Some parts did not go together well. Specifically, two shelves were tight in the hole. The screws pulled them into place though.
> There is a top half and bottom half. The legs did not meet well in the middle.
> There are small stickers on all the wooden parts to identify them. They are HARD to get off.
Update 17 Dec 2016
I just added my DVDs to the rack. I have reduced the rating from my original four starts to two stars.
The sliding stops can slide to one side easily. Then DVDs start falling over and behind the rack. I have had rows a fourth to a half full and had all the DVDs fall and dump out the back of the rack.
My work around is that I made sure all the rows are full so they can't start falling over sideways. In rows that are not full, a boxed set of DVDs makes a good "bookend" to keep them from falling over.
Best wishes.
