If you’re like me you probably have a new baby and you’re reading reviews to find the perfect chair. Stick around and read this one. Aesthetically this seat is beautiful. But, two months in and I want to return it because it’s actually terrible and they don’t even give you a full refund. I didn’t pay over $200 for piece of furniture that’s marketed to last through childhood just for it to be junk after literally 60 uses. The wood is warping and blistered from water getting under the seat cushion (and then cleaned right up after meal time) while he’s eating. Babies are messy.... I shouldn’t have to refinish this $200+ piece of plywood because my baby spills his water. Most people don’t even know how to refinish things so it would essentially be trash to them. The other big issue is the seat. We did a “jello dig” (new moms look this up) so I had the seat out on our deck. I left it outside for maybe 20 minutes in 70 degree weather and the entire seat cushion shrank and doesn’t firmly fit anymore... this means it pinches the bottom of his legs and has rendered it useless. One short outside adventure shouldn’t completely wreck a seat. It’s not even hot here! So new moms and dads, don’t end up frustrated like me figuring out if you just turn it into firewood or go through the hassle of taking it apart and packing it up and sending it back for a partial refund.
