Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I read the majority of reviews and they were predominately favorable. In a nut shell I simply do not understand how any body could possibly enjoy reading this book. I so hoped to like it and unfortunately that was not the case. Surprisingly though, the first chapter piqued my interest. I felt compelled to follow poor Sadie Blue's journey. Hoping she would eventually escape the brutality of her evil husband. However the story line disintegrated when the emphasis was revolved around the characterization of the preacher. It was endless, monotonous, and just plain boring! . Bottom line Sadie's journey had taken a back seat. Clearly this was not a book I would recommend to anyone I know!
