So my husband bought this rice cooker back in February. He has only used it a few times. Today the lid shattered in his hands as he was removing it from the cooker. ALL DIRECTIONS WERE FOLLOWED. DID NOT USE LID FOR ANYTHING THAT WASN'T THE RICE COOKER. Now sitting on hold with customer service
