Hopefully this was just a bad lot of plastic, because the idea is really cool and I'd love to see it refined. So it's a really cool idea and if it had been implemented better, we might have loved it. But as you can see in the photos, the plastic that holds the sifter in place started to tear after less than 3 weeks of use. Basically, the sifter appears to be designed to fold up & down. And to make that happen, a thin piece of plastic joins it to the rest of the litter box. Turns out the plastic used for this part is thin and not durable. Lastly, the clips used to hold the top & bottom clamshells together are good in theory, but you need to make VERY sure they're clipped properly -- and stay clipped properly -- throughout the rotational process. If you don't you risk getting <ahem> "kitten offerings" all over your floor.
