This toy is great if you want your kids to learn how to sing songs about how great it is to watch to TV, and how they should spend all of their time watching TV. In other words, for parents who want their educational toys to be, oh, I don't know, actual education (rather than a bunch of songs encouraging kids to watch as many shows as possible, "So many channels, so little time!" sings the song), it's terrible. I bought the toy for my son because he loves buttons and music, and covets our TV remotes. This toy said it had educational songs and taught kids how to count - I figured it would be a win. So, so wrong. Here's how one of the songs go: "1,2,3,4,5 So many fun channels to watch live. 6,7,8,9, So many to watch, so little time!" Another says, "Gather 'round, to pretend, you're going to enjoy some TV shows with some friends." The second one is, admittedly, not so terrible. I just had no idea - even after re-reading the product description - that this toy would encourage TV watching. Partially, that's my mistake, but after re-reading the product description I think it's inadequate in regards to the song content. I thought it would be a fun button-pushing, counting and music toy.
