Portrays people as a curiosity, not as humane beings.
The guy who does all the interviews [with homeless persons] is disrespectful, rude, and obnoxious. In the very first interview he is this way and it just continues from there.
He does not address people humanely; it's always as if the people he speaks to are a curiosity. Something to be observed from a distance. Exploited.
I could not finish it, only getting about 1/4 through. It was so undignified and sometimes grotesquely done.
All the high ratings...I don't know except that maybe people think anything exposing the plight of the homeless is wonderful. Even exploiting their circumstances to make a film is apparently to be applauded.
I found it not just distasteful but disgusting.
