I made a choice to not buy a more expensive and reliable brand such as Epson, now I realize I made the wrong choice. On day 97 of ownership the bulb died. Take a wild guess at how long the warranty on the bulb is... 90 days. I read the reviews of other people's bulbs dying just a little after the 90 day period, but what did I say to myself? "ahh it won't happen to me, not me, I'm different right? I won't spend money on an extended warranty which of course doesn't cover bulb failure? "But alas I did pay additional warranty for nothing and have a bulb failure 7 days after the warranty expired. Do yourself a favor and run. Run away when you see the name Optoma. Take heed of my and other's tragic tales of finally learning of the $200 replacement bulb. If I can help at least one person not make my mistake and buy this projector then this review will have been for something. Please be that someone.
