I have been buying this product for several years and both the double sided tape and film have been effective at holding the film in place and the film kept the window insulated in the past, but not this year. This year the film is half the thickness of prior years, almost as thin as a supermarket plastic bag. I have remnants from prior years and comparing the difference is startling. The 2020 film is garbage and I advise you NOT to buy this product and try to find out the thickness of the shirnk wrap before you buy, it makes all the difference in how insulated the window/door will be.
