So, he's reading... but WHAT is he reading?
Sorry to rain on the parade, parents, but did you ever actually read what is in this book? Most of the comments here seem to say, "Well, he is reading, so who cares what the book says!".
Look at page 120: Cool Things to Expect in Your Lifetime:
"Computers in your skin... By putting a single chip underneath the skin (where you can't feel or see it), the need for a wallet or ID will be eliminated... wave your arm ... and the information will be transferred to other computers.... Eventually, it will be used to track criminals... The chip won't quite make you a robot, but it will be the first step in combining computers with humans."
Nice propaganda. The next paragraph explains how nano-tech will be injected into our blood. Wow, that's cool...
Here are more chapters:
Weapons; Spies; Testing DNA; What your Organs are Worth; Sports; Wars & Crushing Conquerers; Rock Stars and how much they make; Blockbuster Movies; Video Games; The World's Richest; Monster Hunting; Predators: Kings of the Hill
We didn't buy this on Amazon, we bought it as Suggested Reading at our son's elementary school book fair. AFAIAC the school AND the book are "Dangerous for Boys", and all of us.
