The only reason why I bought these instead of others was because the description clearly says Japan is the country of origin, and to my surprise, they are Chinese, made in China by a Chinese company (see pic). Nowhere in the packaging does it mention Japan at all! Japan is unique in how they forge they blades, with Japanese knives being the best in the world, so this is a very big misrepresentation. The scissors may work just fine, but I don't want to give a single penny to a company that lies like that.
