Ruined by very suspect evidence
While the story has fact, the investigation just has too much manufactured "evidence " that jar did it for me. As someone familiar with spells and having common sense- that jar was new and planted in that mud. You'd never open and put your hand inside esp if someone has used a dark spell- pins, glass, sharp objects, other unpleasant contents, unsafe contents and you better believe you'd switch on a light before you stuck your bare hand/finger tips inside! That ouija board planchett was also suspect- as well as the paintings/photos upside down.I have lived in a haunted house, I know places can be haunted& have activity you wouldn't believe unless you'd experienced it. They did a disservice to the family, witnesses and the story with the bogus evidence. There were also a lot of unanswered questions- what's the history of the land, who owned the "witch's" house across from them? Was it a rental? In a small community believe me, someone would've known who lived there(at least a first name),esp if they were putting up odd symbols, visiting graveyards- who will verify& come fwd and say they saw this witchy woman making graveyard visits? The former fireman says he saw this woman out dancing while odd activity occurred at the farm house- more back story on this please?? If you ever lived in a small town you know that someone like that would set tongues wagging and her first name would be bantered about! If she lived there long enough to be wanting to buy the property of the family and acted so weird,I just struggle to believe someone didn't make sure they knew her first name? Too many key details left out, what also of all those tapes made, what of the paranormal research older man who told the mother he helped get rid of such activity ?
