Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I never, ever write reviews, but I feel like I need to since this fan is featured prominently on sites like thewirecutter.com. They admittedly did not test for build quality, despite stories that these die quickly. I decided to go for it, since it sounded otherwise really good, and it's generally just a few people making a lot of noise about their bad luck. Anyway, I bought two of these a few months apart, and about a month after I bought the second one, the first one died. A month later, and the second one died. I mean, maybe that's REALLY bad luck, or - more likely - these things are just not built to last more than a few months. Not only are they shoddy quality, but the warranty support is atrocious. They have a one year warranty (meh), but the only support option is ship them back to the company - on your own dime ! I was going to do that, but I honestly can't even find a box big enough to ship even one of these, let alone 2. I'm looking at having to buy a bunch of boxes for like, 60 dollars (plus whatever shipping costs, probably another 60), in order to ship these things back. They're just junk, and the company isn't helpful in supporting their defective product.
