I bought this CO detector from Amazon. It was manufactured in 2001 and is 12 years old. I plugged it in and put a fresh battery in it and it started to read Err. Other customers have commented on this. Save yourself the time and hassle and buy this unit from a big box store. I am returning this unit to Amazon for a refund. They should be ashamed to be selling out of date units like this.
