I had light tan riding boots, brand new, and I didn't mind the leather being darkened, but this spray gave it a HORRIBLE splotchy finish. I followed instructions to a tee, and they're ruined. When I called customer service, the agent actually said that the boots are NEVER to be weatherproofed! I read the bottle to her, and said that the bottle, nor their website, had any precautions, and she finally admitted there were many complaints after boots were ruined by the spray, but that they hadn't added precautions to the website. So if you have some beautiful Frye boots, DON'T weather proof them!
