updated review: - bought to trim my ends for split hair prevention - had a few split ends here and there prior to cutting hair with this - initially didn't like the chemical smell of inner rubber - trimmed all ends - 5 days post trim I was horrified to discovered hundreds and hundreds of split ends These are not professional-grade shear scissors. The reason why is is so essential to use profession hair scissors is because the hair follicle is very sensitive. If you cut your hair with anything less than a razor sharp edge you will fray the ends of your hair, leaving eventual split ends I am so sad!
