I opened the bag and was confused with what I got. I was expecting LifeStraws and realized I bought a lookalike. I looked up the company Membrane Solutions and it looks like they're legitimate. They are a Chinese company. Various sites say they are great, they seemed like they were paid advertisements though. I couldn't find any reviews I could feel like I could trust to be honest. I encourage you to do your own research on that one. However, I'm returning these because the pictures I am finding of this product on the internet are not the same. The product also does not have a the Membrane Solutions brand name on it. In addition, I checked the other negative reviews of this item and the box does say to use on fresh water to reduce infection risk (as opposed to salt water? dirty water?) and that user assumes all risk in using the product. I'm sorry, but if you don't have enough confidence in your product to put your brand name on it and you say I have to assume all risk, then I refuse to use it. I bought these for an emergency situation. I will not use a product you cannot stand behind when my survival depends on it.
