The biggest surprise is that there's no ending. This is the fourth time, a kindle book has ended right in the middle of the story. Tolkien can get away with that, but nah... this author can't. The plot and characters are Okay, but I won't be waiting for part two. Yes, it says Book One -- but that's misleading I think. We're used to authors who make use of established characters and places to tell new complete stories. Amazon and authors need a better way to warn customers that the book they're getting isn't a complete story. Until then, I'm just going to keep a list and stay away from these authors. I feel cheated, not entertained.
