I am certainly glad that I took advantage of HBO's 30 day trial subscription because their streaming software really needs to be honed. Constant buffering with an almost 30% overhead, to the degree that watching a 30 minute video took almost 40 minutes. No problem with Prime, Netflix or You-Tube all of which are streaming in HD using an 8 MBPS wireless line speed (Verified). I called HBO's Tech Support department and went through the same scripted series of checks where they want you to reset all of your hardware devices to prove that it is not a hardware based problem. I can understand that, but c'mon guy's, every other provider I use streams in HD without even one hiccup, what does that tell you about the integrity of the connection and the hardware? Their tech guy finally admitted that they are "New to this business" and are working hard to refine their streaming product so these buffering issues are eliminated. Do yourself a favor; use your browser to search for "HBO NOW streaming problems" and you'll see that there are a lot of complaints about this issue. Regardless, if you do decide to go-for-it, make sure you take advantage of HBO's 30 day free trial. That way, if you do encounter this really annoying buffering issue, you won't have to pay HBO $14.98 for the experience.
