I really like the concept, but in practice on a 10 lb cat, with normal, not thick cat nails, this item didn't work, at all. It split his nails instead of cutting the nails off. This wasn't the normal, run of the mill split that happens when trimming a cats nails. On my cat I've tried normal cat nail clippers, human toe nail and fingernail clippers and nippers, those all did a better job. While there is some splitting of the nail with all methods, this tool rates the absolute worse. The light is nice and helpful, but the compliments end there. I found the magnifying glass totally unhelpful because to place it at the right angle where you can see the nail and keep my cat still was a big problem. It took too many adjustment's of the tool and the cat for the magnification option to helpful. Eventually I used the clipper without the magnifying glass. Bottom line, I really wanted something that would make nail trimming easier. I really wanted this product to work. This tool absolutely does not do that. I am returning it. Sadly for this crap, I have to pay return fee. Apparently free returns aren't offered for this product.
