Ink runs out fast & to replace the cartridges is about $10 less than the cost of the printer
INK CARTRIDGES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE AND DON"T HAVE MUCH INK I thought this would be a great little printer to do my day to day printing. I use a professional photographer's Canon for my photographs. I don't use that for my day to day. So I got this Epson. I also liked the scan feature.
After using it for about a week the black ink ran out. I didn't even print that much. Then when I went on Amazon to order more ink, and typed in "Epson 202 cartridges", I made the mistake of ordering "Amazon's choice." I didn't check to see that "Amazon's Choice" was not the 202, but the220. Of course when I tried to put the 220 cartridge in it didn't work. So I went back on Amazon and made sure I was ordering the 202 cartridges. I noticed that there were reviews that weren't good so I read a few. Most had the same issue I have - the ink runs out too quickly. My favorite was "the ink runs out faster than a bottle of liquor with an alcoholic." So here's the deal - the cost of the ink will be about $10 less than the cost of the printer the first time you replace the ink. Maybe it's ok for some people, but I feel like I have been scammed. I am going to look for another printer that does not use so much ink OR that has ink refills that aren't so low in ink.
