This works amazing for the first 20-30ish pulls. However, after the first few uses, the string starts to fray. When this particular string frays, it gets black string particles all over the lid and surrounding countertop or on any uncovered food you may have in the vicinity. The chopping works great. This just needs a better string. When you go to wash this, you will find that it is difficult to wash the lid. With the string fraying, you will have wads of string particles that gunk up the inside. This makes it extremely difficult to clean.
