As others have posted--the company designed this printer so that you CAN NOT use it if one of the printer cartridges is low/empty!! Even if a low quality print will work, even if you need just black ink and a color ink is empty. RIDICULOUS AND SHAMEFUL DESIGN. Funny thing is the company made it VERY EASY FOR YOU TO ORDER NEW INK CARTRIDGES--IT JUST COMES RIGHT UP ON SCREEN! If they were intent on keeping their customers happy they would have made the printer act like a real printer so that we could still print with low/empty color cartridges if needed. I needed to print off a list of my medications to take to my doctor appointment--a simple black/white print would do. Well the printer told me I could not print ANYTHING until I replaced "Cyan Ink" !!! So I could not print a list of meds for my doc and there were too many to list by hand. My husband was getting ready to go for a job interview and wanted to print off a quick resume (black/white would be fine). No--could not print because printer locked up until we paid for a replacement "cyan ink cartridge". Unbelievable--Epson I think you lost your good name and following with this design. Go run off with your head between your legs. TOTALLY UNRELIABLE PIECE OF CRAP!!
