There is something wrong with the version of this food sold on amazon. I have purchased this food in the past from PetSmart and my cat loved it; she is allergic to many of the ingredients in regular high quality cat food (chicken, turkey, beef, wheat, etc.) and requires a limited ingredient diet. When I purchased this same food from Amazon my cat almost refused to eat it. We made it through the first batch and tried another bag from Amazon; same result. I double checked the expiration date and the food had not expired. I purchased a new bag from PetSmart and my cat devoured an entire serving immediately. If you are looking for an excellent quality limited ingredient food, Blue Basic is the way to go but I would encourage you to purchase the food at a local pet store, not on Amazon.
