I decided after reading the first 18 chapters that I did not want to read any more. The story belongs in the horror collection, not scifi. It started with an interesting premise, meta-humans with special powers, but has devolved into a bloodfest. I choose not to fill my mind with the violence and gore. So, if you are into horror and dark stories, this may be your cuppa. If you are interested in creative or uplifting stories, you may want to skip this. I will grant that maybe in the next 412 pages it improves but I gave it 115 pages and decided to cut my losses.
