CAREFUL. Beware of many dozens of 5* bogus reviews!
I love Amazon and customer reviews but I REALLY hate phony fake reviewers who post fake reviews about products that they didn't actually buy.
If you look through the reviews for VH NUTRITION products you will see that only a small handful of reviews are VERIFIED PURCHASES. And there are dozens of FAKE reviews by fake account names where the only reviews posted are about their product line or one item. When you click on the names of the rest of the reviewers most of them have left multiple reviews most often for many VH Nutrition products and nothing else.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE:
"Benny Simmons" posted EIGHTEEN reviews all on ONE DAY April 28, 2015.
17 out of 18 reviews are five star reviews for VH Nutrition products.
In some reviews Benny is a "skinny dude" who finally gains weight. In another review, Benny ALSO claims to be a woman who finally gets pregnant. In another review, he needs to "boost his sperm count." BUT on April 28, 2015, Benny left a 5 star review for VH Nutrition's FERTILIFORM saying "I am now five months pregnant while writing this review." THEN on April 28, 2015, Benny left a review for (VH Nurtition) EATMORE and is now a male who needs to gain weight, "Being a skinny dude isn’t cool. I am 6’1” tall and I used to weight only 145 pounds. Now that I am taking Eatmor, I am able to put on some much needed weight.... Now I’m fighting them off with a stick when I go out to the clubs. So happy now to not be that skinny dude at the bar..." On the same day, in a different review, Benny also wants to lose weight and reviews CARBAVEX Carb Blocker because she (or is it he?) has problems with fat and weight. "Once you start using this product, weight loss is in your near future."
On the same day, April 28. 2015, Benny reviewed (VH Nutrition) FERTILIFORM Men's Fertility treatment and says, "After dealing with uncomfortable side-effects from hormonal treatments to boost my sperm count..." AGAIN ON THE SAME DAY, April 28, 2015, Benny posted a review for FEMSTIM saying, "I'm the girl who needs two glasses of water and has to pinch her nose to swallow it.."
You get the picture!
The pattern is similar with ALL of their product line and most other five star reviewers.
When a manufacturer posts bogus dishonest reviews for products that claim to cure SERIOUS health problems (like infertility and hair loss) their products should be banned from Amazon. NOT because they are necessarily selling junk (in this case they likely are) BUT because of all the fake reviews hurt gullible people who buy their junk products based on their trust in the abundance of great reviews.
Amazon is ONLY as good as the veracity of its reviewers. I reported this offensive case to Amazon. A quick look shows that apparently Amazon deleted the reviews by "Benny Simmons" under this particular item. Good for Amazon. But that doesn't fix all the other similar, problematic reviews that are so obviously phony.
Buyer beware. Do the research before you throw your money away based on questionable reviewers.
I purchased from a different manufacturer with honest reviewers who purchased other items from Amazon AND who were had VERIFIED PURCHASE next to their name.
