This was advertised as fitting my vehicle not only on Amazon but other sites also. This unit has a protruding heat sink on the back and in the manual it says not to install it within 5cm of anything to the back. That's 1.97". This stereo with a special installation kit that I bought is supposed to protrude about 1 inch from the dash in my van, but that only works if the heat sink is crammed up against the plastic duct in the back. To install it safely, as in the manual, it would have to protrude 3 inches from the dash, which no kit allows for. Make sure you have at least 8 5/8 inches clearance behind your dash before ordering this. It would be nice if the description had the size of the stereo instead of the size of the box it comes in. I'm going to have to return this and shop locally for a stereo so I can measure it. I hate returning things and I don't trust websites telling me what will fit. UPDATE: I found another very good brand stereo on Amazon and I read the manual at the manufacturer's website and it is 6 1/4 inches deep and has no heat sink and it will fit perfectly without protruding at all. I wish they all would provide their manuals online. A little research avoids a lot of headaches.
