This works just fine. I took off a star because it’s way overpriced for what it is. It heats 4 cups of water for “coffee” temperature (205), but it takes 6 min. My pot on the stove is abt. the same speed. It holds it there while I pour over. And it heats 2 cups for green tea (180) but again: it takes about 5 min. Looks nice. Still overpriced. UPDATE: Less than 2 months after purchase, the timer alert (beeper) no longer works. I therefore have to *guess* when the water has reached temperature. This expensive kettle stopped functioning as designed within 12 weeks of original purchase. I am very unhappy about this.
