This is actually a beautiful wheelchair and seems pretty solid; however, after only a month of gentle use, the tire has come off the right wheel. There are no instructions about putting it back on (I've tried and don't have the strength to stretch it enough to slip it over the groove), so I'm waiting to hear back from Drive Medical about BUYING a replacement wheel (even though I feel I shouldn't have to buy one after only a month's use, what can I do? The chair can't be used as it is) - I found their method of getting replacement parts to be confusing so I need them to clarify something. The package originally arrived severely damaged - the box was ripped open on top and falling apart and I'm missing a couple of the black plastic end-cap pieces, but the chair worked and I didn't have an alternate box to return it in anyway; I don't believe this had anything to do with the tire coming off though, as both wheels have been fine up until now. All that said, I really don't know of a good quality chair that doesn't fall apart right away. I used to buy Nova chairs, but they fell apart pretty quickly; the Drive chair was highly recommended so I thought I'd try it. I'm thinking that one month of use before falling apart isn't the way it's supposed to be. Maybe I'm just dreaming...
