I gave these ice trays 5 stars because I cannot think of one negative thing about them. They cleaned easily in our dishwasher, they are covered (which we like) and the ice cubes are the perfect size...and can be removed easily from the tray without a struggle. These are way better than the "old school" hard plastic ice trays which we had to twist. The silicone material allows you to remove only one cube at a time....UPDATE- I wrote the previous review and gave these trays 5 stars. I'm reducing to 3 stars after using them for several months. There is a "funny" taste to the ice. It's not from our filtered water- it may be from the silicone. We'll try to adjust. Otherwise, great trays. >> UPDATE- after using these trays, we've learned they have a terrible "chemical" smell. They make the ice cubes/ drink have a terrible taste. We are throwing them away. Disappointing because otherwise we loved the size cubes and they work very easily
