This might quite possibly be one of the worst products ever. The Litter Genie Plus had been my trusty sidekick for 6 years until it started breaking. With two additional fur balls that came along, why not get a larger replacement?! It would be great! Well, I was so wrong. I really don’t have anything good to say about the XL. From the use, cleanup, mobility— this blows. The area to dump the poo in isn’t any bigger than the regular LG+. The handle to drop the poo is also the bin release to access the bag. Most times you go to drop the litter, the bin opens up. Usually shaking litter flakes around. When it’s time for cleanup, open the lid and the mouth of the poo bin is tapered around the bag. Interesting to try and not snag the giant bag of crap while lifting it out. The poo bin lid has new hinges that “snap” “together”. Yeah, that does not work either. One hinge frequently comes off— again slinging poo flaked litter around. Don’t bother skidding/moving the bin at all. The fun snap hinge comes off then too. Oh, don’t bother trying to save on litter liners with this baby either. It is designed to only hold the brand name bags. Sucks when you have multiple cats and need to save a few bucks. Can you not just make the LG+ with a larger collection bin?
