A known problem for the Quietcomfort 35 II (Aware buyer!)
I bought the product (new, not used) a week ago during the Thanksgiving weekend. It came in a couple days ago and I unboxed it today. What happens is that it makes continuous clicking sounds (not extremely loud, but annoying) whenever the sound cancellation function is on (edit: even when sound cancellation is not on, it makes those sounds too when you walk around, but not as loud). I realized that this is a hardware problem since this only happens to the right, not the left cup. Walking, or even small head movements while sitting down will trigger those clicking sounds too. When the sound cancellation function is on high setting (you can adjust this through the Bose connect app), the clicking sounds can get louder. After some research on the internet, I found that this is a known issue. I am going to contact customer service tomorrow and hope to figure something out. Besides this, everything about this headphones is excellent and it is what you should expect when you pay that price for Bose headphones. I will come back and change this after contacting the customer service. If you see this, please label this as helpful so that other buyers can see this and put this into their consideration when they are thinking about purchasing this. Update: I contacted the customer service over the weekend and she was really helpful throughout the process. Since my product is in warranty, I am going to send the one that I have now back to Bose and Bose will send me a new one in 5-10 days. Although the problem is solved (kinda), this is totally avoidable if Bose pays more attention to the quality of its products. Here is my suggestion when you consider buying this pair of headphones, (1) do some research on this headphones before getting it, specifically, the issue of the clicking sounds; (2) call the customer service as soon as possible when you realize your headphones have a similar problem as mine and (3) although not everyone has this problem, just prepare to deal with customer service. Though, customer service is really nice (I didn't call, I text the customer service instead).
