★★☆☆☆
25% failure rate per year.
We have 50-60 artists using Cintiqs, 8 hours per work day, and the majority are using these pens. We experience a 25% failure rate per year for these pens. The most common problems are that the button stops working, the pen is too sensitive (draws when pen isn't touching screen), or the pen simply breaks apart. If you have ever seen the tiny circuit board and wire inside these pens, you would easily understand how delicate they are.
I am usually suspicious when users bring me broken hardware (ie..coffee spilled into keyboard), but the track record with this fragile pen is unmistakable. I literally have a fistful of these pens ready for the recycle center. Wacom should engineer something more reliable.
We really have no other choice, so we will have to buy more.
