We purchased this seat for our BIG toddler. We wanted him to be rear facing for a longer period of time. Pros- 2nd highest rear facing weight limit (Clek has highest at 50lbs) Cons- Heavy Had issues with the chest straps tightening properly. They would come loose at times or not tighten enough. (Diono was no help with this) Horrible to install- Their latch system is complicated to say the least. We never got a tight fit via belt while rear facing. Only snug fit was with the belt forward facing. Chest clip is large and comes undone very easy. Doesn't stand up- this bothered me SOOO much. Might be petty to other people but when you are setting the seat up/cleaning it and it constantly falls over its a pain! Biggest issue- It BROKE! The Diono was forward facing and had been for at least a year. UNMOVED. upon taking the seat out to connect the bloody rear facing adapter (yes it has a stupid adapter)I noticed the bottom of the seat was broken. How? I have nooo clue. I called Diono who- upon explaining the issue- interrupted me saying she needs pictures, receipt, date of purchase etc. Okay... sent that in and this was her reply. Thank you for all your information. We have a one year warranty on our seats for manufacturer defects. Per our warranty guidelines :This warranty does not include damages which arise from negligence, misuse or use of the product not in accordance with the product instruction. The seat is not safe to use. Thank you Annoyed beyond belief- This could be a serious defect OR we are very unlucky with car seats... I find it scary this company refuses to even listen to their customers- how many other people phone in "just after warranty" and were brushed off? Never will I purchase anything from this company. A responsible company, who's top priority is safety, would have been highly interested in reviewing my actual car seat. They didn't ask and declined my offer to see the car seat.
