Great idea for a safer gentle way to trim a dogs nails but to be honest even with brand new batteries it barely has enough power to sand them down without bogging totally down and stopping. So since you can barely apply any pressure it takes quite some time to finish fours paws on a large breed that you have to wrestle down in order to accomplish. I would also highly recommend wearing a dust mask as the dust created is very unpleasant.
