The rod itself, along with the mounting flanges, appears to be a quality product one would expect from Moen. However, the instructions and the mounting hardware turned this into a nightmare project. The instructions have a printed mounting template. DO NOT USE THIS! The hole spacing on the template is 1/8" off from the actual hole spacing on the flanges! Simply measure the actual hole spaciong and mark your wall accordingly. Next, the molly bolt anchors. These are the worst anchors I have ever encountered. They self destruct WHILE INSTALLING into the wall (mine was on tile) rendering them useless requiring removal and re-install. The flat "washer head" of the molly bolt simply separates from the tubular barrel of the anchor (see picture). Buy your own quality fasteners if you want to successfully install this product. Other reviewers have commented on the junk hardware and lack of quality control. Moen destroys their good reputation by pinching a couple of pennies (at most) with useless instructions and even worse hardware.
