Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I have enjoyed many of Philbrick's books to date but his attempt at a first person narrative is a major disappointment. The information about Washington is interesting & informative but when he interjects the stories of his travel along Washington's route with his wife & dog, the narrative breaks down. I found these asides so disjointed & distracting that I gave up after 50 pages & returned the book. If this is his last book, he is leaving on a bad note.
