I own this mini-series on DVD and recently purchased the streaming video for $4.99 on Amazon Prime Video. The streaming version has been recut, leaving out multiple major scenes. The streaming version needs to be labeled as recut because this is not the full mini-series. If this streaming video had been labeled as "recut/abridged/edited for time" I would NEVER have purchased it because I own the full version on DVD! The movie itself is amazing and the best adaptation of Jane Eyre I have ever seen-2006 version starring Ruth Wilson. Do yourself a favor and buy the DVD version on your favorite bidding website. It is worth paying a little too much for. The streaming recut/abridged version of Jane Eyre is still very good and completely makes sense. But it is missing so much. I feel confident saying most people will prefer the full version. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision. A note to Amazon: Please make this right. Re-label this streaming video as "RECUT". Make the FULL VERSION available for purchase on Prime Video.
