Avoid this product.... It's not worth the headache.
I have owned 3 (three) of these piles of garbage and every time I keep thinking to myself it must be me.
No, Garmin is nothing more than a greeedy company who continues to manufacture a product that people have issues with just so they can make a few more millions.
Why use 4 screws on something like this? Why use 4 of the softest screws known to man? On a device that's exposed to sweat and salt on a daily basis?
Because they are crooks. I won't waste my money on this product anymore and neither should you.
It will work right away, oh yes it will. But then you will need to change the battery changed and good luck. After you've been wearing the strap for months on end the screws won't cooperate because they are welded into their tiny little holes. So use a little force, right? WRONG. The screws will strip and then you are forced to try and get them out by other means best case scenario, you save the unit and can use it again. Normally though what will happen is that you will destroy the transmitter and Garmin gets another 50 dollars from you.
I have used countless heart rate straps and this one is the biggest pile of crap out of them all. And they keep selling this same model even though people complain about it.
Sounds like a great company doesn't it?
