We are quite experienced with home bread-makers: We have been baking bread at home almost daily for about 3 years -- that's many hundreds of loaves. Most of the time we have been using Cuisinart CB-100, which was pretty good. When it was time to replace it (it started leaking machine oil into the bread pan!), we thought it would be a smart move to upgrade to Cuisinart CB-200. A disastrous mistake! The CB-200 consistently burns the bread at the bottom and the sides. The only setting at which the bread is not ruined entirely is "light crust" -- but then the top is under-baked, and the entire loaf is spongy. The amazing thing is that there are reviews on Amazon that reported this as early as 2007 (11 years ago!) -- but apparently Cuisinart did not address the problem. Yet a different issue is that the bread pan keeps popping out while it is kneading and one must pause the machine to re-seat the pan -- until it pops out again. I tried bending the clips in different ways -- to no avail.
