Only 650 lumens, not 6500!
You remember when your Mama told you, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is?" Well, if someone tells you that you can buy a 6500 lumen projector (which would practically work on a screen bathed in sunlight) for $189, then .... This is a small projector that would only work in a completely darkened conference room for an audience of 8-10. It cannot be used in even a dimly lit auditorium. The description at the time of my purchase indicated both in text and in an accompanying graphic that this was a 6500 lumen projector. But our church auditorium has a 4500 lumen projector that is 8-10 times more bright. This projector is useless unless you are a single guy who has no social life and wants to watch movies on a big screen in your completely dark living room. Honestly, you might be able to show a Powerpoint in a totally dark room. You get what you pay for. So spend a reasonable amount of money and buy a name brand projector with some real power. For a dimly lit auditorium, you need about 3200 lumens or better. 4500 lumens is extremely bright and readable in our auditorium. The product description and the misleading graphic claiming 6500 lumens needs to be removed immediately. Also, in the instructions for this projector there is a statement saying that the projector will intermittently cut off, but that this is a "protective feature" and not a problem with the projector. Translation: Your projector will quit on you in the middle of a presentation when it gets too hot, but you can't sue anyone over it.
