No way
Most of the beginning seems like some social justice push for transgenders. A lot of unecessary filler that is nonsense. The main character comes off as ridiculous at times as well. It seems like the author is trying to make her sassy or badass/cool....but it fails big time. She comes off as childish, unlikeable, and ridiculous. A lot of eye roll moments. No depth whatsoever. It's all unimportant filler instead of world/character building. There's a lot of barely explained moments and topics...yet goes on and on about transgender rights and such. Just nonsense. Seems like a teenagers first attempt at writing a story and she wanted to push her social justice agenda at the same time...even though the premise of the book is nothing to do with social justice or politically correctness. There really isn't anything original about the plot either. It ends in a cliffhanger which seriously irritates me. Some people, like myself, have to read a book until it's conclusion. By giving no conclusion here, you're making me read the next book...which I'm sure will also end in a cliffhanger. Series are best when each book can be read as a stand-alone as well. I think cliffhangers are a shady way of making ppl buy your next crappy book. I'm really shocked there's so many rave reviews. This just isn't a good book or good writing. Glad it was less then a dollar. Should be free.
