The bed is nice and solid. The wood is real. It was pretty easy to put together but the instructions do need a minute to figure out. I love the tool they included instead of the typical Allen wrench, it made assembly go much faster! The Velcro for the slats was brilliant, I am not worried that the slats will slip over time like other beds I’ve had. So far I am very happy! Update. The bed has been set up for maybe a week. Sitting in bed reading a book and the wood frame splits apart. I’m not sure how to ship it back because I don’t have the box anymore but if it can’t handle one person alone reading a book I imagine it couldn’t handle two people at any point.
