Based on the great reviews, and the company's "30 Night Comfort Guarantee", I bought a pillow to try. After the worst sleep of my life, culminating in retrieving my old pillow, I returned the pillow, in the box in which it came, the very following morning (1, not 30 nights) using the company's return label. When I hadn't received a credit to my card after 14 days, I contacted the company which told me to wait longer. I then contacted AmEx who filed a dispute on my behalf. Yesterday, I received a letter from them (AmEx) saying that a credit to my company had been left, less 17.34 in charges for "shipping, handling, and a restocking fee". Pacific Coast's own website said initially that there would be a "discounted" return shipping charge using their return label. That has since been changed to 11.99. No where does it say anything about a return handling and restocking fee. Attempts to contact the company lead to "all our operators are busy, call back later, cllck". Comfort guarantee? Ha. Guarantee at all? Ha. If everyone who buys their overpriced pillow still pays 17.34 for nothing, they could do a very nice business selling the same unsupportive, lumpy, painful pillow over again, making a living from just overpriced shipping and handling. 2 thumbs down. I will NEVER buy anything from this company again. Buyer beware. Last night, I received an e-mail from Pacific Coast Feather Co "inviting me" to review their product. I posted essentially this same review. And this morning received another e-mail from them advising me that my review had been rejected because it "didn't meet their guidelines". The only "guideline" I violated was giving an unfavorable review to an overpriced awful product backed up with even worse (and fraudulent, misleading) customer service. I have filed a formal complaint with FTC. I would recommend that amazon.com stop any relationship with this awful company as a "partner", and would strongly recommend that anyone thinking of buying one of their products think twice.
