I'm a school teacher who gives the whiteboard heavy daily use. I decided to try this product to deal with incomplete erasures that were starting to become a problem. Here's the thing: this product works pretty well at first. You spray it on the board, hold your nose and try not to inhale the chemicals, and wipe down the board with a paper towel. Voila, clean board. But over time, the board got worse and worse and worse, until I really couldn't erase it fully even one time between chemical applications. New markers and erasers made no difference. It turns out that the cause of the worsening board conditions was simply buildup OF THIS PRODUCT... when it finally ran out, I rinsed the spray bottle and filled it with water. Which, it turns out, is AT LEAST as effective at removing dry-erase marker residue. What's more, after a few applications of plain water the board is back to being good as new, with many write/erase cycles between water spray/wipedowns. So I still use the spray bottle itself, but now there are no awful fumes, no unknown chemicals, no board-ruining buildup. They can say "non-toxic" and "green" all they want, but that doesn't mean they tell you what it *is*. Face it, even if it's made of organically-grown and voluntarily-given unicorn tears scented with (apparently) orange zest and formaldehyde, they're still charging you a pile of money to ship a plastic bottle of this stuff to you when PLAIN WATER works better, is odorless, is delivered to you for free, and is proven harmless. Best I can say is that it led me to the genius moment of putting water--dum-da-na-naaah!--into a spray bottle. Pros: - Will help remove what's on the board at first - Good spray bottle that can be re-used - Probably gives unicorns jobs Cons: - Expensive - Smelly unknown chemicals - Doesn't clean as well as water - Leaves sticky buildup that impairs board use over time
