I preordered this over a year ago and was dieing to finally get it. It came 3 days ago and I've been very disappointed. A lot of the people here must not be gamers. I will admit the speed at which eero runs is blazing fast. I switched from an apple extreme (latest model) ac router to the 3 eero setup. VIA wifi my speeds are blazing, I get downloads of 360 Mbps vs the 155 I go on the apple extreme. (hard wired stayed the same obviously). I have full wifi reception everywhere in the house but here are my issues and why I had to give it a 1 star review, currently it is unusable for a gamer like me and I have all my money just sitting there collecting dust. I was leaning towards 2 stars since the internet is so fast on it but I couldn't simply because I can't even use the product my PS4 and XBox One wont work on it at all. Neither system. On the apple extreme on the ps4 i get between 11-15 Mbps but it works great , no issues. On the EERO what frustrates me is that it actually gets 60 Mbps which is amazing, i wish it would work but then it gives an error that there is no support for IP packet fragmentation in the router and nothing works. Can't watch netflix, can't load games, or do updates. Nothing , on either xbox or ps4. So the speed is there, but either the hardware or software is lacking and they clearly did no testing on game consoles. I'm a big time gamer and was more then enthusiastic to finally get my EERO in hopes to finally get rid of the apple and have a router that has better features, and easier setup. But now I can't even use it and it's been a head ache. I was on the phone with tech support for 2 hours last night with no fix, we tried everything. Also one more huge pet peeve. The port forwarding does not support ranges. You must input each port single handedly, which can cause issues for some networks that require ports 6000-7000 to be open. Clearly you're not going to open 1000 ports manually. please EERO fix some of these issues. I went from high hopes to shattered dreams. If eero updates their routers, and fixes these issues I'll come back and review my review but until then I'm leaving it here to warn fellow gamers AVOID THE EERO AT ALL COSTS. stick with Asus, or Apple.
