I purchased this router in August and could not get the filters to work. I scoured the website for assistance and contacted support. Chad, the support person suggested that there is a work-around by setting up custom URLs manually. This seemed bizarre to me because none of the filtering worked. I mean none! I'm a single dad, working full time and my ability to deal with issues like these are sporadic. So this weekend (December) I finally had time to do more work on it. I tried resetting the router and unplugging the direct connection USB that to the router. The problem still persisted. I went back to the Circle support site and discovered that they published an new document listing Routers that are incompatible with Circle. It turned out that my router Google OnHub is incompatible. This was completely new information and nothing that was mentioned previously by Circle I contacted Chad at support about this and asked for a refund, because it was to late for Amazon to offer me the refund. Chad said that Circle wouldn't provide me a refund, and therefore I am now stuck with it. $89.00 down the drain. I feel strongly that Circle should accept the return and refund my money. They did not adequately disclose compatible issues in their marketing material, and at my time of purchase, on their website. Also, in looking at the support information that Chad provided me, not once did he ask me what type of router I had, he instead suggested a work-around. I feel this is deceptive and cannot endorse this product.
