Well run bait-and-switch
I made the mistake of ordering this scam from the H20wireless web site in the US. On that site is a list of available plans, including a $36 plan with 8GB of data. My SIM card arrived today, and the first quirk was that the ActFast code used for online activation was “invalid.” Hmm, ok, so I activated with the SIM number. When I was done I looked at my account online and noticed that I had only 4GB of data in my plan. So I first tried their chat “support” for about 30 mins and got nowhere. Lots and lots of holding. Then I called voice “customer service” and was eventually transferred to billing. I was onto billing for another 45 minutes, about 2 of which consisted of conversation. The more calls and dead ends. To make a long story short, billing refuses to give me the plan I bought. They have a variety of absurd explanations for why it is my fault that I ended up with a plan that they don’t even offer for sale. (See screen shot of plans available.) This seems so well coordinated that I’m very confident that it is a bait-and-switch scam. If you encounter this, immediately contact your credit card company and contest the charge from H20.
