I cut them and yes they have 3 very thin layers. However when you blow on it it goes right though. Not good actually I brought 2 and I’m going to return the one is not open. They also charge for the shipping to send them back. What it really make mad is that they did not give me a choice I would rather to send them back the same way they send them to me using USPS not UPS. Oh they also have a smell and they are a little thighs around you ears. If you work with customers this will not protect you.
