better to purchase the slightly more expensive NOW brand capsules
IMPORTANT WARNING: don't use this or let your dog eat it if either of you are forming bladder or kidney stones. turmeric is very high in oxalates, the major antagonist for calcium oxalate stones. (the oxalate is the culprit, not the calcium). if you look at the label, you'll see these capsules contain mostly turmeric, not curcumin. better to purchase the slightly more expensive NOW brand capsules, which are 95 percent curcumin, which is extracted from the turmeric and doesn't contain the oxalates. my dog has a terrible bladder stone that i can't have removed because he can't go under anesthesia. i was giving him lots of turmeric to lower a chronic inflammatory disease he's struggling with. i thought i was doing him a favor. I wasn't. buy curcumin extracted from turmeric, not turmeric powder.
